Romsey Hampshire residential planning permissionTest Valley Borough Council: Pure Town Planning has just secured planning consent for two semi-detached retirement cottages for a developer client on a brownfield site in Romsey.

The main issue in this case was the use of  a shared access with an adjoining development site and the way the vehicle turning head on this access fell in relation to the red lined application site of our application. Test Valley Borough Council‘s Planning Officer eventually decided that the approved turning head fell a little outside our red line plan. As apparently they have a policy of not allowing changes to the red line plan (even as here just a few square metres) they were at the point of requiring a whole new application. However Dan was on hand with an alternative suggestion and managed to persuade the Council officers that a planning condition could be worded which would overcome the issue and still meet the Government’s guidelines on the use of planning conditions even though it related to land outside the application site. A whole lot of work saved for everyone!

Sometimes the most seemingly trivial matters can derail a planning application and it pays to have an experienced planning consultant on board from the start who can ease it through the system. Why not give Pure Town Planning a call to find out if we can help resolve your planning issues.
