Bournemouth Borough Council: Pure Town Planning were recently pleased to obtain planning consent for a single storey modular building for one of Bournemouth’s largest language schools – indeed the campus is claimed to be the biggest language school campus in the country. Despite this, the site of the new building was extremely constrained with the building being placed in an existing courtyard with buildings on three sides and mature boundary trees (standing within the adjoining conservation area) on the fourth.
The school wanted to reserve the decision as to which modular building product to plump for until planning permission was obtained. Hence we engaged the unusual, but occasionally useful, procedure of applying for two alternative schemes simultaneously. With a well-prepared and comprehensive application both alternatives were granted permanent consent by Bournemouth Borough Council without a hitch.
If your organisation has a requirement for more space, why not speak to Pure Town Planning about the possibilities on your site?
