New dwelling planning permission ChristchurchChristchurch Borough Council: Pure Town Planning have just secured planning consent for the sub-division of an existing side garden to form a new family dwelling in Christchurch. A number of similar plot splits in the locality have been turned down in recent years so we were aware from the outset it was going to be a challenge.

Fortunately the team at Pure Town Planning love a challenge – if planning was easy there would be no need for planning consultants! During the progress of the application we met the officer on site and managed to convince him that this was a great opportunity to provide an additional small family home, which lies within the settlement boundary, in close proximity to local shops, services and schools and of a design which is characteristic of other properties in the immediate locality – such proposals are encouraged by local planning policy.

Once again we successfully teamed up with local architects; Anders Roberts who designed the scheme and created a dwelling which sat comfortably on its plot, making our job a lot easier!  Planning permission was granted a week or so ago, much to the clients delight.
