Purbeck District Council: Pure Town Planning are thrilled to have secured planning permission for the erection of an additional first floor above an existing retail shop to provide a two bedroom self-contained flat in the village of Bovington, Dorset.
The street scene of King George V Road is largely dominated by two storey development, with two storey buildings adjoining both sides of the application site. Therefore, we considered that the site had clear potential to be extended upwards to provide residential accommodation to substantially enhance the value of the site for our client. Pure Town Planning were instructed to prepare, submit and manage a planning application to erect the first floor extension, with the plans being provided by Dorset Planning.
As part of the submission a comprehensive design, access and planning statement was prepared and submitted setting out the planning merits of the scheme and how it complied with local and national planning policy. Following the submission of the application Purbeck District Council were quick to show their support for the scheme and the application was approved shortly after the statutory consultation period had closed. The client has now benefitted from a considerable uplift in the value of the site and is due to commence construction shortly.
