Borough of Poole: Pure Town Planning are delighted to announce that they have recently secured consent for a one-off project in Penn Hill, Poole for alterations, extensions and remodelling of the existing dwelling to a scheme designed by Tony Holt Design.

Our client had decided that despite the excellent location of their property, which is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac with views of Parkstone Golf Club, the design of the house did not live up to their aspirations for a more contemporary dwelling. They came to us with a full set of plans ready for submission. We produced a comprehensive Design and Access Statement arguing that the existing property is currently rather bland and makes no positive contribution to the surrounding built and natural environment. We then showed how the proposed alterations will make a considerable improvement to both the site itself and the wider area.

Due to the quality of the submitted plans and our supporting statement, we quickly won the support of the Borough of Poole Case Officer who was willing to give a recommendation for approval. However, due to the presence of trees on site, further information was required to remove the outstanding concerns of the Tree Officer. We quickly got to work, engaging an arboricultural consultant to produce the information needed. With this all in hand, Pure Town Planning got the planning permission for our client over two weeks before the determination date!

The Case Officer Report noted that ‘the proposal would integrate well with the house by absorbing the existing extensions which would give the house a more harmonious appearance. The proposal would use modern materials, which would be in keeping with the character of the area and it would enhance the appearance of the existing house.’

So if you have found your dream location and now need a ‘forever house’ to go with it, why not call Pure Town Planning on 01202 585524 or email info@puretownplanning.co.uk for a FREE 30 minute consultation on how we can help get you that all important planning permission.
