Cambridge City Council:  Darryl Howells of Pure Town Planning is pleased to secure change of use from a retail shop (Use Class A1) to a Tattoo Parlour (Use Class Sui Generis) in the Mill Road shopping district in Cambridge. “Sui Generis” is the term used for a use or building that does not fall within any particular class of the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes Order) and therefore is unique/ in a class of its own.  Darryl supported the planning application from the outset, submitting the planning application, negotiating, and writing a convincing Design & Access Statement that supported the change of use, highlighting the economic benefits that could be offered to the community and the wider economy.  The application was determined at Planning Committee, with Darryl writing a deputation for the client to present.  The Members of the Planning Committee unanimously approved the proposed development.

If you are want to change the use of a building, or create opportunities for flexible planning consents, or have been refused for such an application and need some guidance then why not contact Pure Town Planning on 01202 585524 or email info@puretownplanning.co.uk for a FREE 30 minute confidential consultation.
