Bournemouth Borough Council:  Pure Town Planning are pleased to have secured planning permission for the installation of a 3 metre high acoustic fence and the retrospective erection of air conditioning units at the Orchid Hotel, in Gervis Road, Bournemouth.  The unauthorised installation was previously the subject of an enforcement notice following the failed submission of the original application by another agent.  Pure Town Planning negotiated the withdrawal of the enforcement notice issued by Bournemouth Borough Council then, working with Acoustic Associates South West Limited, we successfully argued that the proposed air conditioning units could be screened by an acoustic fence in order to protect the amenities of neighbouring occupiers, but also to protect and enhance the East Cliff Conservation Area. The Council planning officer agreed that the proposed scheme overcame all concerns and planning permission was granted.
